Goodbye Mom! Prague

Alrighty. The Prague day. The closest airport to Tash is across the border in Prague. Today was Mom's last day, so we did some sight seeing there! We had to pack lots of luggage, and Tasha's big stroller, so Tuck enjoyed a leg prop for a bit.

Before we drove to Prague, we went into town for some Breakfast.

There's lots of restaurants like this in the center courtyard. We chose a French place today.

We had our own dining room, because we were there so early.

Awww.

Wesley did a great job holding his OJ. Although we had to remove the straw because he flew huge bubbles with it.

Contrary to what you think, he loved the stuff. He has a thing for bitter tastes, actually. We put a little bit of salt on his hand, and he licked it like it was candy ha ha!

Awww.

Le delicious breakfast!! Bread, tomato/mozzarella crepes, scrambled eggs, and a meat/cheese/fruit platter at the bottom. It was….amaaaaazing.

Ah, Prague. There be the train station. Wish we could have investigated that a bit more, but there was much to do, with little time.

Hmmm some observations on Prague. It's definitely got it's beauty and the "wow" factor, but it does have a little bit of a ghetto side to it. The further you are from the main tourist attractions, the more graffiti you encounter.

Prague is indeed stuffed with many many many many beautiful buildings, but they've also got some…modern ones of course.

We thought we'd parked close to the Old Town Square, but we hadn't. We'd parked close to a small church. Which was a-ok, we checked it out anyway. It's Easter week, so they had Easter markets everywhere. We checked this one out before driving closer to the other area.

A strange Czech pastry Tuck got. Like a huge bread straw with Nutella spread on the inside.

He was a fan.

Lots of really pretty stuff to buy.

The eggs were so detailed!  These are all real, hollowed out eggs. It was scary to touch them!

So pretty!

Mom found her favorite rice pudding. I'd never tried it before, and since she'd tried my Natto back at Christmas, I tried her rice pudding. It wasn't bad actually, it was like a fruit pie minus the crust.

We parked the car closer to the other square.

You could paddle the river in style.

Looooots of pretty buildings.

There's the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and St. Vitus.

Instead of taking a left onto the bridge, we took a right, down an alley not unlike Diagon, and walked over to...

The Old Town Square.

The world's oldest working astronomical clock. I read up on this before we left, it's really interesting!!!

Checking out the Easter stalls.

Alas, the flowers are fake, but it brought a great spring mood.

I'm still not sure what this huge statue is.

The painted ones were gorgeous, and the ones with tons of drilled holes made me think, "HoOoOoOW?"

They had this teeny little animal petting thing. We fed some tiny pellets to the skinnier animals, although the stout horse tried his best to grab at them.

The Easter tree! Biggest one I've ever encountered.

My guess is this is King Wencleslaus…or however you spell it.

Making our way across the bridge.

I shudder to think of how crowded it gets in the summer.

Where's Waldo? Or rather, where are Tash and the boys?

Looking up inside that gateway to the bridge.

Wesley is totally awake here. He'd rather play dead than say cheese ha ha!

Onward to the car, to drive to St. Vitus!

Found some people enjoying the luxurious paddle boats.

Prague Castle! Some sort of really formal event was going on that night, lots of people dressed nicely would pass us, and a car escorted by cops drove in.

Wesley's not a fan of being helped…with anything.  So we were excited when he asked if Nana could hold him up here.

BaBOOM. St. Vitus.

"Vitus Shmitus. Just let me climb some stairs"

We got there just as they were lighting the church up.

Ah…going for a cute hug picture, when Wesley steals the show with his butt.

It was a great trip! The Easter festival was awesome, and the architecture was amazing!!! It was so fun to see it with Mom and Tash!
