Italy pt IV: Riomaggiore/Easter

Woke up the next morning to an AWESOME SUNNY DAY!!
I listened to the Much Ado About Nothing soundtrack a bunch. Twas perfect.

Our typical vacation breakfast orders. Tucker looks like Heath Ledger's joker every time he eats Nutella.

This young man likes Mayonaise Sandwiches

Liz likes cereal with water. Her claim is that she is that this is the next step after skim milk.

Good Moooorning.

Sausage man.

I'm a coffee woman.

We took the train to Riomaggiore! When you get off the train, you have to weave your way over one of the hills to get to the village.

So here we go.

We found another great watchtower at the top of the hill.

 Awwwww

There's the town!

Jump man.

No shortage of plants taking over.

Lots of fun winding alleys and staircases to explore.

It was a steep walk down.

Pasta, anyone? ….nope, I didn't buy anyone the penis pasta.

We saw people walking around with cones of fried seafood, so while the group went to grab fries and hot dogs, I went and got myself a cone of seafood.

Some sample cones. Calimari, Anchovies, Scallops, Zucchini, Fries, codfish, and a local fish I forgot the name of. Again, the Lemon juice only made it taste more amazing. I ate my cone so fast! It was my first time having anchovies, I was not disappointed.

I didn't take any gelato photos, but we definitely tried a bunch. Nutella (a must), Pistachio, Mango, Apricot, Cherry, Chocolate, Walnut…they were pretty darn good.

When we got tired of carrying kids, we'd switch with the backpack carrier. Except Dewy, he was determined to carry Tucker.

The water was unbelievably blue.

There was some sort of flood here recently, and I found a door that'd been repainted, and a door that hadn't.

Here's a view of Cinque Terre

Here we are waiting for the train. The trains get so hectic.

Dewy hopped up a balcony to get to us. We had planned on going to the neighboring town, but in our haste to get on the train, we boarded the wrong one. It was one that took us straight back to Levanto ha ha ha! The next train didn't go in the other direction for another hour, so we decided to go have our Easter Egg hunt. Easter in Italy!

Liz and Tash set the eggs in the little streets by the apartment.

Some kids are getting excited.

He just liked to throw them.

Wesley isn't a fan of sugar, so we filled a bunch of eggs with crackers. And of course we had some kinder eggs too.

Opening the loot. Everything ended up in a big plastic bag. The only problem with this was the crackers, they had cheese. So the other candy got coated in cheese ha ha ha

After the easter hunt, we drove down to Levanto's beach.

Tash had this gorgeous dress, she looked so pretty!

I looooved relaxing on the roof. Sooooo nice.

Last Levanto sunset. What an AMAZING spot.

Good morning.

We're packed up and ready to head off to Switzerland!

Aw.

Goodbye Italy!!
